Straight on at 15 yards. Ended up quartering three elk within 50 yards of each other opening day.

Bull from 2020 spot and stalk to 20 yards. Double lung and he fell down a water fall as he died ended up the worst pack of my life.

Sounds like an adventure! I'm sure it was painful and you still look back on it all fondly. Great work!

Why the big reductions in bull tags in the Yakima units ? Is wdfw still using resource allocation? Or are bow hunters becoming that efficient

I think the efficiency of high power rifles on the winter range has more to do with it.

I talked to him one day up there, he was watching a herd with a dandy bull, during muzzleloader season, he had a modern rifle of course, said he shoots 10-15 per year and sells the horns and makes  jerky out of the rest, he said hes completely legal.
I said ya kill em until they are all gone bud, cya

Good observation. Blood looks more like an archery wound to me too.

makes me sick, and he’s full of crap, it’s against tribal law to sell elk and deer, at least it was. He’s killed much more than that in the past.
