New deer rifle.
« on: June 09, 2020, 06:29:19 PM »
I’m thinking about a new deer rifle, I have a .243 and a .270. I’d like to keep it close to 7lbs, I’d really like to keep the barrel no longer than 22”, I have no desire to shoot past 400 yards. I’m a hairy chested American male so oh my god no creedmores..... GO!

This is a very good rifle/round.  I’ve had one of these for a few years, it’s a keeper.

The 2 you already shoot would be my choice of a rifle under 7 lbs, 243 being at the top.

7mm-08 or .260 Rem would be good fits.
