Two days of hunting and have only seen one deer, usually seeing at least a handful everyday. Hope it's just the heat, good luck to everyone with a tag and congrats to the few who've already moved theirs.

On my way to help my son pack out a blacktail. First time bow hunting. I'll post a pic. Kind of sad he's gone solo but super proud he's out doing it on his own

Friday night. Quartering toward type shot at about 25 yards with an incomplete pass through!. Not the guy I was after but that one disappeared from camera altogether.

Sweet animals.  Any animal harvested in washington is a trophy.  Especially in this heat

Meat buck but I’m not picky with a bow and couldn’t pass up a blacktail in velvet. Short season was bittersweet but the sneak I had to put on this guy through the noisiest of clearcuts with the wind shifting multiple times and two spikes bedded around him made the challenge exciting. Quartered you’re me on first shot so exit wound pictured above was far back. Able to get a second arrow in him and end it for good. 55 yards.

Nice one, that heat was brutal and not much was moving at my place. Congrats

Opening day buck! Shot him quartering towards me at about 10 yards and ran no more than 50 yards. Couldn't be happier to fill my tag!
