I’ve been asked about accuracy, changing loads with the addition of a suppressor, and have a few examples to share.
Here’s is a 200yd group from my 6.8 SPC AR as of this week with hand loads that I didn’t not change from previous unsuppressed development. Suppressor used is a Dead Air Nomad Ti with the Xeno mount

Here is an example of a 458 SOCOM AR rifle being suppressed with a direct thread Dead Air Primal. 325gr supers, one shot to check the hold over, two subsequent shots.

This rifle uses a Eotech XPS3-2 which has two 1 MOA dots within the 68 MOA ring. The center dot is 10.5 MOA above the lower dot. I used the lower dot as my aiming point. The center dot is zeroed to 100yds. This load had to be worked up because shooting max 458 SOCOM loads suppressed without an adjustable gas block is BIGLY not enjoyable.
I also shoot subs with the rifle using the lower dot at 100yds

At one point I decided to try the Silencer Co ASR mount and muzzle break with the Primal. That did not work out well for subs.

Supers were fine however, I went back to the direct thread.
On to 300WM with the same Dead Air Noma Ti and Xeno mount with a Remington 700. I’ve been having problems with my loads becoming hard to extract. Despite having worked up a new load a few months ago.

That load shot well and extracted just fine. Recently when I went to make more, and consistently needed a hammer to get the dbolt to move rearward. I tried a number of things to correct the issue but nothing worked. Not having a lot of free time before the seasons roll in, I decided to get some factory ammo because factory ammo shoots AND extracts with ease. I will be revisiting this soon.
The Dead Air Nomad Ti is also pulling duty on my Savage 10 in .308. It’s an older model and recently began to not fire my loads, just dent the primer. (I’m replacing the firing pin assembly after the parts arrive.) Again, not having a bunch of free time, I got some factory ammo from Sportsman’s and was quite surprised. If the four different loads I shot, the Nosler 165gr Accubond Trophy Grade did quite well.

Above is showing you two groups from the Trophy Grade. One measured and one marked “TG”

The top circle target shows two groups using the Nosler Trophy Grade. I decided to measure the larger of the two instead of the smallest. It gives me a mindset of what to work from and what to work toward.
Please pardon my ignorant measuring. At the time I didn’t know that groups needed to be measured center to center. Until this week, I never got into measuring groups with calipers.
Even though it’s too late to get a suppressor for the upcoming seasons, it’s a good time to get your paperwork in so that you can get your suppressor in hand before spring 2023.
