My son and I went with Lonesome Dove Outfitters out of Cordova and we both shot goats. There was some adversities but the owner Dennis Zadra took care of us and I would absolutely go back and hunt with him again.

I would check with Jason about odds as he had 9 of his guys draw the tags this year. I think chances might be better than one might think.
:yeah: worth a call. They may have outfitter tags of some sort  :dunno:  best draw odds i can see are the Uganik River permit which averages 13% over the last 4 years. Rest are all 3-9% on average. Which ironically is better odds than about anything in North America  :chuckle:
I spoke with Jason after he got out of bear camp and he said the percentage for his clients has been around 30%.

Yeah I was talking to an outfitter up there about two years ago and he had some application strategy that ups the odds, don't remember the particulars on it.

I've not hunted with him but got a recommendation for Robert hardy and after talking with about a dozen guys on the phone in Alaska and BC decided on him, and then found out my daughter was on the way. When the schedule opens back up for me in a year or so I'll be calling him back to try to get after a goat with him.

Once y’all do it once, you’re going to want to do it again. Just a heads up. Those things get in your blood, regardless of whether it’s a big time trip to AK or a Washington tag.

I'm in with 9 points this year. If I remember right that's the lucky number.
