Thinking this year I’m going to try and hit the 0 point pool and buy the preference point after the draw for next year. 🤷🏻‍♂️
you can't. You can apply or buy a point in the fall but not both.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Just got off the phone with FWP, they booted that guy off our party so our point average didn’t go down but since my buddy didn’t buy a point they can’t add him to our party, wouldn’t let me buy a point for him either since it was already submitted. Bummer deal

If he went in with zero his odds are still pretty good. Hopefully he draws as well

We won’t know the exact odds for this draw until they are posted months from now.  But last year it was a little over 80% success rate with 2 points.

Mid April

Yep! Mid April (at least that is what their web page says and going off years past). It’s nice to see at least one state with a timely draw and quick draw results. With the technology of today, there should never have to be more than a two week turnaround max.

I’m curious how many people who drew last year gave up on preference points and applied this year with 0 points. I wonder how much the odds dropped for the 25% of tags to none preference point appliers is this year.

This will probably be my last year for a while. I need to cash in Wyoming and Colorado before I retire

I’m curious about this also. I drew last year and opted to buy a point while applying this year. Hoping the 0 point strategy is popular this year and I can sneak in with the 1 point.
