I've heard there are some access issues and I need to dial those down myself.

@buglebuster, are there any closed roads out Tampico or Cowiche Mill Road?

It’s about 1.25 miles up from the blacktop

Nasty creek road is gated off

Whereabouts is it gated off at? Starting my e scouting now and that would be super helpful info to plan around.

Gates  is 50ft off the pavement of the main road

It’s 1.25 miles to where it’s gated, not 50ft

I'm late on this but I wanted to give a shoutout to all the guys on here who were willing to give me some pointers on my cowiche quality buck tag. Especially Tracy (unsure of your last name Tracy) and Michael Turner who give me some amazing real time tips that I was able to build into my hunt while i was there. Overall, i had an absolute blast. This was my first quality tag I've ever drawn and it did not disappoint. There were lots of rutting bucks running around which was super cool to see. However, this was not in any way a slam dunk hunt. There were a few times where I thought I may just have to eat the tag since a lot of the activity we were seeing was on private land that we didnt have access too. However, on the last day I had to hunt, we came across this stud that I was not about to let walk. One shot was all I needed to put this guy on the ground. Such a cool experience in some amazing country, and even better that my dad got to be a part of it. The buck was really just a bonus

Congrats man! Glad I ran into you that day while I was glassing elk. Glad you were able to get a nice buck! I had no idea at the time that was you and I’d already commented on your post on this thread LOL.

Thank you for following up with your thread.   That actually means a lot to us.   Congrats on a successful hunt, and as a bonus a nice buck.
