Leopold Freedom RDS Mount
« on: September 20, 2025, 11:39:45 AM »
I got a good deal on a Freedom RDS last year but it was the version that didn’t come with the mount for.  I’m not real versed in scope mounts but for the life of me I can’t find a single piece scope mount like the one that come with it. Does anyone have a a link or advice to find one? I could just buy some individual 34mm scope rings but I’m hoping to have a solid one piece mount. Thanks in advance.

There’s guys taking those off and replacing them with lower rings on their muzzy’s probably someone around willing to part with the old one.

I can take a look around for mine, may have tossed it because it sits pretty high for my sight picture.  I’ll look tomorrow and if I turn it up it is yours.  Actually was where I thought it was so PM me your address and I can send it your way or I am in east Wenatchee if you are close.

I still have the one mine came with, was too high for my muzzy.

I went with Seekins rings and am very happy with

I'll see if I can dig one up.
I bought two and didn't use the mount.

As others have said, they put you scope realllllly high.

You might consider posting what kind of muzzleloader you have, and I'll bet folks on here will point you to a much lower mount (that's what I did ).

Anyway, If I can find one of mine, you can have it for free.
I'll never use them.

Hello! Sorry, just seeing this. I’m in East Wenatchee as well, that would be greatly appreciated if you find it. I’m leaving to work out of town around 1pm. If you find it please let me know and I can come pick it up wherever you are at. Thank you!

I have a CVA optima V2 in the mail that should arrive Wednesday, thats good information about the height, I was unaware that these bases sit so high. I did order a set of rings and now I’m questioning if they might be too high. The rings I bought are the “medium” at 1.26” high. I like the idea of a 1 piece mount but if height is and issue I’ll probably stick with individual rings. Has anyone found a good height for this gun? Thanks in advance.

I also didn’t use mine cause it’s too high, I went with a low vortex mostly out of a matter of convenience. Sounds like there are plenty to choose from for ya, I’ll never use mine.
