I'm looking to replace my Danner Pronghorns with something else.  They kept me soaking wet during my 7-day high buck hunt and it was the only thing cold during the hunt.  They were supposedly 100% waterproof...HA!  The snow and sleet made these so-called waterproof boots miserable.  They're GONE.

i think they call them pronghorns for a reason...
they're great for hunting conditions like what you get on a typical hot and dry pronghorn hunt...not so much for hunting mountain type stuff and not enough support for any kind of backpacking or hiking with significant weight on your back.

I've bought a pair of those two years ago and put a few hundred miles on them. My feet still don't get wet (unless it's sweat). I never assume anything is waterproof out of the box and used camp dry. 2 or 3 coats every few months and no problems. The only downfall to the boots was that the traction isn't good under slippery conditions and the metal band on the side that says "gortex" doesn't bend and lines up with my ankle bone. It rubbed me raw until I cut it with a pair of wire cutters. I'm also not a huge fan of how they lace. They take a while to put on/take off. Even with all that they still are a pretty good boot....

I love my pronghorn boots. I haven't done anything with them and I have crossed creeks and swamps and my feet never got wet. They do well in the snow but they suck on slippery rocks. The only thing that is keeping me from buying another pair is they are made in friggin china.

I'm on my 5th set of pronghorns.... in 5 years.

they're super light and feel like tennis shoe to me.
I'm super hard on mine, a lot of side hilling and a lot of rocks.
they've all leaked after about a year but I keep going back to them because the low weight adds miles to my hikes.

If the warranty didn't cover them I'd probably be wearing something different.

I've had a pair of Pronghorns for a few years now,they never have leaked but they stretched quite a bit and started to squeek alot so I replaced them with Kenetreks

I like my Pronghorns, also have had no problems walking through small creeks and not getting wet unless it went over the top of the boot. I think I have had them for 3 years now.

I wear the Danner Striker boots at work and love them. We are outdoors alot all winter and I've never had one leak. My only complaint is the soles wear down quite fast but I am constantly walking on corrogated concrete.

I returned the Pronghorns I just bought.  They were rubbing the hell out of my heels goin up the mountain.  I may just have a screwed up foot compared to others.

I dont like the boots for where I hunt, they are comfy but not enough traction and they're not what you'd call a boot made for the steep hills. If you hunt flat land they're awsome though
