Yeah, not a huge buck but interesting.  I noticed his right eye was psycho looking in all the pictures, kind of opaque.  I think he had some health issues.  He didn't look healthy.

Whats up with the blurr in front of him.  Is that photoshop, or your focus on a close up object.  Not being critical, just wondering what it is or why you did it?

Um, the foreground blur and background blur are truly out of focus.  It was a 300mm f2.8 so there is only a narrow band of focus.  The depth of field is so shallow that only the face is in focus, even parts of the buck is out of focus.  I do quite a few photos with out of focus foreground/background as I believe it draws the eye and attention to the subject.  I guess I could crop some of it out...but I kinda like it.  Actually, I noticed on the top photo at the beginning of the post that the depth of field was so shallow even the ends of the rack were slightly out of focus but the face was tack sharp.  When I use my f5.6 lens I never get this type of background or foreground blur.  I like the "bokeh".

*Oh, my wife looked at it and noticed the same thing.  There is a little hill in front of him.  So the foreground is quite a distance in front of the buck.  There is probably 8 feet more grass until you reach the buck over the tiny rise in the foreground.  No photoshop other than adjust of levels, color balance, and then a general unsharp mask over the photo.

You have no idea Iceman.  Been at work since 5 yesterday morning.  Now its about time to hit the sack.  thanks Pope.  It just seemed to stand out for some reason to my eye. Looked different than the norm I guess.
