He is a little weak in the forks and a bit on mass. This buck was not shot last year so he should put on more mass this year.

The buck below is about as big as I've seen, but I haven't spent much time out of state.

Biggest mulie was probaly last November while glassing for my dad during late archery, maybe 170" class, three forks on the left side, don't know how big the right side was, but it had at least 5 points, thought I maybe saw a nice sticker point on the right side when it was going over the top of the ridge at 600 yds, but I don't know if it was or not.  Never did find him back.  Then have seen a couple other nice mulies, maybe 160" class.  Haven't seen much in the way of white tail, off the top of my mind, saw a decent one between Mazama and Wintrhop, just a decent three point.  Saw my biggest blacktail last Augest in the high country, he was a long ways away, but I could tell he was fairly heavy, about 22" - 23" wide, and fairly tall, no idea on how many points, didn't have the spotting scope.  If I had to guess, I would say he was for sure Pope and Young, maybe B&C, but who knows.   :dunno:  For sure nice one though.

Just thought of another big blacktail, two years ago, the weekend after I shot my three point muley.  I was on a run with my buddy, and we stopped to quick take a look at a mountain bike trail, to see if it had any jumps, and at maybe 50 yds, saw a two by three with two does, but the G2 on his left side came all the way up to normal hight of the other tines, then curved, and came straight back down.  The coolest looking deer I have ever seen.  He was a pretty deer two, DARK antlers, great cape, he would have been a wall hanger for sure.

During the 2007 deer season I was siding a house in the graham area that borders Hancock.  I had already shot my deer opening morning, so my tag was filled.  I showed up to the job site and then my buddy showed up minute later.  We were getting ready when we saw a doe pop out of the reprod at a slow trot.  Then seconds later a 8X9 with more mass than most the mulies I have seen.  My buddy asked me if I had my rifle in the truck and of course I did.  The buck was 100 yards away and my truck was between me and the buck.  The buck was nose to the ground and could care less about me, so I ran to the truck, grabbed the rifle, and handed it to my buddy.  My buddy had not filled his tag, so he pulls up on the buck and can't see a thing because when I shot my buck it was raining like it always does, harder than heck, and I forgot to leave my scope covers open and the glass was all fogged up.  My buddy then wiped the glass off and pulled up again, but my buddies dog took off running after the buck and the buck jumped into the reprod never to be seen again.  We both guessed the buck was about 24" wide with a perfect 4X4 main frame, two drop tines, tons of mass, and stickers everywhere.  My biggest mulie I have shot was 160" and this blacktail was bigger.  I also used to live in Ashland, OR where all the blacktails are crossed with Mulie and are monsters and this was still bigger than any bucks I've seen.  Fun story to tell, but would have loved to be able to put my hands on that monster.

I try to forget about it, but two muleys on the Okie County line were the biggest I've seen in this State, same week within two days of each other. First buck I knew was around from scouting out his rubs a month earlier in the thickest, steepest mess of *censored* I've ever hunted, almost fell off a 80 foot shale cliff in the process when I kicked him and some does and a fork out in front of me at only 40 yards. I hid behind one clump of reprod for what seemed and eternity, until he ran off through a little gap in the woods and I missed a quick shot at him. He cleared the ears on both sides by an easy 4-5 inches. That ruined me but I kept hunting that week. I hiked even further back in the area we hunted then, glassed an open hillside above me and totally missed the biggest bodied deer I have ever seen (after he got up and ran right by me). I don't know how I missed him laying there. He had to be 350lbs and no kidding he tried to run me over and dodged into the tree's at 20 yards away at the last minute, I was shocked a buck would be that bold. The thing I remember most was that the antler's were so thick, I couldn't count points until he was running dead away. at least four on each side but he was non-typical with trash points, could have had at least a couple more points on each side. I packed up and left after that, two days early I just couldn't take it any more. Blowing it twice like that, I've never forgiven myself....
