i don't know about you guys but it seems a little weird that i only see one deer leg and some of them seem pretty alert alert. it looks to me like these guys had a great idea and some damn nice mounts.

Poorly thought out picture, IMHO.

Now that I look at the picture closer, I would have to agree that it almost looks like those deer are mounted and just stacked there??!!

I wonder if it is a taxidermy school? Those deer look too posed to be fresh kills.

Some of them could be mounted, but you can see the bodies of a few of them, I wouldn't think those were mounted. You don't see to many people doing life size mounts. There is also a similar picture to this one that someone posted in the gallery of a bunch of whitetails.

Great bunch of deer.
for those that want more info about the picture I saved it to my computer, if you do that you can right click on it and view the properties click on the details tab and if someone did not remove it with photo software you can see when it was taken.

Just getting my first cup of coffee for the morning, but this picture looks legit to me....all those legs and tags......heck I dont know what to trust anymore?
Maybe this ol' boy is a taxidermist, and took all them for mounting?
I still don't understand leaving hide on a deer, even for a couple of hours...but that is just me...

Could be legit. They look like they have been hung by their back legs for awhile. Remember some areas hang their deer for days with the hide on.

Hey Iceman, I grew up in Wisconsin and the gun deer season is 9 days long, some our deer were hanging the entire 9 days hide on and then some. Allot of the folks there just hang them up by the neck then after the season and camp is all packed then bring them to the registration station then to the butcher who may even let them hang for a few more days till they have time to get to them.
When the hunters in the state kill 300,000 to 500,000 deer every year the butchers get pretty busy so it may be a couple months before you see your meat.
I can almost hardly believe we (I) used to do that, after living here since the early 90's the hide must come off ASAP no question it makes for better dinner !!!

there are more deer than hunters..... but back east lots of states let you kill more than one buck, and alot of clubs have their own size limits, and alot of them practice serious management on their leases...looks like a great season to me. it can be hard to resist,, but the internet just breeds scepticism
