Main thing is when you get home don't sit down just get your workout clothes on and do it. On your way home take(40 min before working out) some NO3 explode they sell it at Costco it will help during your workouts. Set some goals for yourself and stick to them. Like workout everyday during the week and hike on the weekend.
I take that stuff to and it makes a huge difference. I agree, I can't sit down and relax until after I work out or it won't get done.

took no-xplode while in iraq and wow! feel like a crackhead when I couldnt work out after taking it just sat there cleaning everything could not sit still at all. but the majority of the time could work out after taking it and was able to go longer and heavier than with out it. I was doing the whole system and it worked awsome put on 20 lbs on muscle in 3 months and got ripped while doing it.. thanks for reminding me need to get back on the regamine again..

5'11/185 - 60 crunches, 30 side crunches per side, 3 sets of 15 pull ups, 3 sets of 15 pushups; almost every day (5 out of 7 at least). I also try to get in at least 5 miles of mountain biking a few times a week and the stationary bike 3 days a week for 20 minutes of hard pedaling. I'm 57 now and I know I'll never get in high school shape again but it sure feels good to make 'em burn! It's gonna be a fun season this year. Thanks for the inspiration and knowledge guys. I'm on here daily and I like it.

Day 4 with 74 to go. Hit the gym today for an hour of full court b-ball. Been watching the diet carefully. Did some stretching. Already starting to feel a lot better- just a better mood overall with trying to squeeze in an hour of working out each day. After another week of just cardio I'll be adding the ruck with weight and hitting some hills. Ordered a dozen of the arrows I expect to hunt with this year. Going to try out the Gold Tip Kinetic Pro's.

I love this thread. besides the weight lifting, shooting, and cardio one thing that I've found extremely helpful and easy to do is stretch the leg muscles every day. You can do this infront of the tv at night and it only takes 5 mins. I've found this reduces muscle soreness and most importantly reduces recovery time when your muscles have been worked hard. Trust me, this will make getting out the tent on day 2 in the mountains much easier. Keep it up fellas....Train hard, hunt easy.
Take up your bow, a quiver full of arrows, head out to the country and hunt some wild game.  GEN 27:3

that's a great way of looking at it. Not only are you much more likely to find elk when you're in good enough shape to go where they go but it's a lot more enjoyable when its easier and you're not cramping and walking on wobbly legs. Plus I don't want to end up as one those guys who don't prepare and then have a heart attack or pull a muscle on day one.
