Whisker Biscuit or Fallaway

i had the wb on my bow all last year, after shooting with it just about everyday, i know what your saying, i have gone through a ton of fletchings, i picked up the NAP apache drop away and love it, and its only like $50 on amazon, which is a decent deal for a full containment drop away, it is more accurate than the wb and to my surprise completely silent, i figured over time it would make some noise or something, but so far am 100% glad i switched

not sure about all of the other fall aways but my other worry was that if i am on the move, in a spot and stalk scenario the arrow will be moving around and when i go to draw i have to make unnecassary adjustments to get the arrow back on track, howeve NAP designed it so that the arms of the rest reached right out the the inside of the containment so when you draw no matter what the arrow ends up in the same location dead center of the rest.

my switch to the drop away, i think the NAP or better you'll be completely satisfied.

Ya I just checked out the apache and it has a very interesting design to it.  Ill have to check into that one also.

 :yeah:i was thinking the same thing when i bought mine, i ended going out on a limb going with a cheaper one than the QAD or trophy taker, because i would like to compare them all and see the differences but so far i have been satisfied, so for the sake of not spending more its probably good i haven't tried the others yet

I have a little cloth with humps that sits in front of the rest to keep the arrow in place until the rest picks it up, the shop put in on for me and it works great to keep the arrow in place unless you run or jump which is a really dumb idea with a broadhead on IMO

My arrows have a 4* offset and would never work with a whisker biscuit.  It is a trophy taker for me.

This state requires a fixed blade broadhead, so in my experience to get the arrow stabilized and prevent planing you need to spin the arrow.  I don't see why you would shoot straight vanes in this state.

Trophy taker for me on my bow. I used a biscuit for years and they work very well. I still have them on many bows and my wifes and brothers bows as well. The only thing I don't like is when it gets wet it can really mess with the arrows flight. The whiskers get clumpy and the vanes don't go threw right. I am on the dry side for the most part, so not to much of a problem

they should destroy every other hunting rest made and just let qad sell their rest.

I shoot a biscuit, my cousin just switched to a QAD fallaway and loves it.

I think the biscuit is a great rest, but now that they have fallaway rests that have solved the containment issue, I see no need for them. I am definitely going to upgrade when I get a new bow, just too deadly with my current setup to justify changing.

If you like the idea of the Hairy Hole but do not like the way it treats your fletching there is another option.  The Octane Hostage Pro. Works in the same manner, but allows complete fletching clearance.  I use it quite often when I travel for a hunt as it is quiet, easy to tune, easy to replace any part and almost impossible to break.

For fall aways I prefer either QAD or RipCord.  Besides being great rests the owners of these companies are "First Class" people.  Definitely worth supporting.
