Pass, based on photo alone. Cannot tell how thick the grass/brush is below him. Could be a doe's head in the dark in front, never know. I would take it if I could see more hair clearly.

Shoot it. Muzzleloader bullet weights are heavier and wouldn't have any problem with "logging the grass" that's in front of the deer.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
