.22 pistol

Lookin for some reccomendations for a .22 pistol. would like to stick with a revolver thinking a single six or maybe a bear cat but i would like to be able to shoot both .22 and .22mag. any suggestions and pics would be appreciated

I owned a single six for awhile, it was so-so in accuracy and a pain to load/unload.  I prefer S&W revolvers or Ruger semi-autos.

Single Sixes are great little revolvers, but not real accurate, not like the semi autos out there that shoot just .22 LR.

I have a Sig Mosquito and I hate it. trigger sucks, lots of travel and it will only cycle CCI Mini Mags. wont shoot anything else. pretty gun though

'Pretty',  doesn't make a shooter. 

As said earlier, the convertible revolvers that shoot 22mag and 22rf, are generally not as accurate as thier bretheren.

A good shooting 22rf revolver is the Smith & Wesson K22.

If you want something more accurate than that then buy a semi auto like a Browning Buckmark or Ruger MK series.

if you consider a semi...look into a browning buckmark....i have one and absolutly love it...its my grouse gun...very accurate gun

the ruger MKs are great.  I found them to be plenty accurate and reliable.  I have some off brand that looks like a 1911 scaled down and it is horrible, makes me really appreciate the ruger.

I too will second the buckmark, I have had two.  I shoot the cheap Remington stuff and can hit a 6" plate off hand at 50 yards 8 out of 10 times easy.  Both would not cycle the cheap stuff until it was well broken in (at least a couple thousand rounds).  They are pretty inexpensive too.

There are lots of good ones out there. I like the bear cat's and also the ruger mk series

I have a Buckmark, two Rugers, a Colt New Frontier Scout, and a new-to-me SW 34-1 (SA/DA 6shot revo on a J-frame, 4in barrel).
I love shooting the Buckmark...smooth, accurate, same ergonomics as a 1911.
Next is the SW 34...just as fine as my 686, amazing SA trigger, good ergos, more convenient to load/unload than the Colt (SA with a loading gate).
My two Rugers are OK, both needing buff and fluff to operate anywhere near the Buckmark.
I would not buy another Ruger.
Looked briefly at the Bearcat..cool looking but I'd pass.

I've had 2 single sixes, not sure why some say they aren't accurate- never had that problem.  They are slow to load.

Single Sixes are great little revolvers  It was my first pistol and I still carry it. That thing has killed many grouse, rabbits, rats, and squirrels when I was a kid...so they're accurate enough.

Never heard that single six's are not accurate.  Every one I have been around shoot beyond great! Most people dont like loading and unloading due to the time it takes, it does not bother me. Once a shooter gets a rythem down loading and unloading is not a bother, especially when you are shooting tight groups! The single six is about as quality of a pistol you will find. 22lr or mag, the single six shoots very well. I also like the Ruger 22/45, 22lr semi auto pistol with the bull barrel. Another very accurate pistol.

Agreed!  I could hit a pop can with my long barreled one at 100 yards. (Single Six)

I love the single-six. I've never heard anyone complain about accuracy. It's certainly more accurate than I am. Plus, if you want more capacity, they have the single-ten.
