Take a look at some other states. This price increase puts us pretty much on par with states like Idaho and Colorado and Wyoming. Pretty standard fare for an OIL tag actually.

WA is actually almost double+ what the other western states are for there OIL tags.Oregon $122 Arizona $272 Nevada $120 Utah $408-508Idaho $166 New Mexico $161Montana $130Colorado $254Other than Utah, WA is quite a bit higher for there OIL tags. Just sayin!
I'd like to see our points be willed on to one of our children.
The real rip is that you will pay $8 / year to apply, every year, and in all likely never receive anything in your lifetime for it.
$15 a pop for each species for such a slim chance at drawing is pretty much a rip off. It'll now cost $45 just to apply for OIL species, 99% of people won't draw in there lifetime. It's sad that points have become like crack cocaine to the modern hunter, we'll do whatever it takes for that next shot at a great tag.
Say it takes a guy 20 years to finally draw an OIL tag; then he would have spent $900 on permit application fees. On top of that, he'll be paying over $300 for the tag. That's over $1,200 spent to go get an OIL species in this state. Might as well save up some money and go out of state or out of the country and get a moose (and quit contributing to the money grabbing WDFW)............ What does it cost to go to Canada for a moose? I think I should go to BC in a few years and quit feeding money to WDFW.....
