How do you guys like the new Bass Pro in Tacoma compared to the Cabelas in Lacy?

I've been to the Bass Pro in Phoenix and I wasn't too impressed. Retail prices, no bargain cave, unmotivated staff, not going back.

junk

:yeah: bass pro sells junk. Seems like their stuff is geared towards the south. Cabelas has good stuff but it's TOP DOLLAR.

I did not like the Bass Pro Store when I went in. No deals, not much geared towards the NW at all. I haven't been back since, driven by a few times on my way to Cabelas.

I wasn't impressed. The selection just isn't as good.

Bass Pro Shop seems to cater to the South, Cabalas seems to cater to the Northeast. Nether focus on the Northwest.
They are both packaged the same, without the branded stuff it would be hard to tell which store you were in.

Are you going to actually buy stuff, check out equipment, taking the family?

Both are fun to walk around in and hangout, but you won't find any deals for the most part.

Bass Pro is just high priced for me, will hit Cabbalas sometimes. I normally shop at Sportco and in a pinch Sportsman's.  :twocents:

Bass pro sucks. Csbelas has a better selection. I still prefer sportsmans warehouse over both.

Now if I have my two year old with me and I'm bored I've taken him over to Bass pro a few times because they have a lot of taxidermy in there abs he likes to look at it.

I went in to Bass Pro the other day to try the Resturant. It's part of the bowling alley and so noisy it wasn't enjoyable. Pulled pork sandwich and a Bud Light was $ 17.00
I've seen enough.

Don't really care for Cabelas, too much over priced Chinese imported junk.  There are some quality pieces tho, depending on your kink.
Bass pro was roughly the same, but a bit higher priced on the junk and no quality pieces to be found.

Wouldn't eat at either at the prices.

All IMHO, of course...
