Gun-control advocates looking to 2014 for initiative campaign

http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2020782329_guninitiativexml.html

The anti-gun factions in this state will stop at nothing to push their gun control agendas.  These gun-grabbers do not want to lose the emotional momentum from the tragedy in Connecticut.

This should be a clear message to all of us.  We must continue to intensify our resolve to push back against these anti-gun zealots.  We must continue with writing, calling, testifying, and meeting with our national, state, and local representatives.  ALL of us must understand that every hunter, gun owner, and freedom loving American in this state must take a stand against these attacks on our rights and freedoms.  If you know people that have not been involved, NOW is the time to start educating them about these looming threats to our rights and freedoms.  ALL of us must be engaged to fend off these incessant attacks.  When it comes time to vote, ALL of us must vote against the representatives that have shown themselves to be on the bandwagon with the gun-grabbers.   Ignore political party affiliation.  If they went after our gun rights, they need to be replaced.

The grabbers are going to be working on it full time and so should we.  Olympia is bound and determined to deliver for the Obama administration at all costs.  They will not give up/let down.

Cantwell and Murray need a constant deluge of actual feelings on this matter, as they obviously havent heard a word we've said so far......My thoughts are, its time to stop being nice.  Neither one of them have done a thing to deserve politeness or respect.  That roads been well traveled and gotten us no where.    :twocents:

Never forget, C&M voted for the UN Small Arms Treaty to pass the Senate last week. Never forget they are traitors to the oaths they swore and will sell our rights and soveirenty away.

If they go this route, good chance they will be successful, like it or not.

As always JS, thanks for the info.

Seems it doesn't do much to contact the leftists in "our" government, though keep trying.  I think everyone needs to work on the citizens they know so we can change at least the undecided voters out there.  We all know people that don't know much about guns, so let's start educating them.   :twocents:

And it may even be more anti-gun then anything the legislature may have passed.

Here's a new article on the same basic subject.
http://news.yahoo.com/front-gun-background-checks-ballot-180644861.html

Jump in and leave a comment on this story.  A quick scan of the comments showed about 99.99% of the comments were NOT supportive of more gun control; opposite of what the Obama-media would like the public to believe.  We really must vote ALL of those anti-gun liers out of office.  This is not a party line issue; it's about our rights and freedoms.

 :bdid:

Gun control initiatives suck.

Anti-gunners will launch gun control initiative campaign

Washington state firearms owners will learn Monday morning what kind of fight they will have on their hands when a group calling itself the Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility – which sounds increasingly like “gun registration” – reveals its political plans.

AND FOLLOW-UP:

Politics, gun safety and separation of church and state

If it were any issue other than firearms, this morning’s press conference involving what a press release described as “Dozens of interfaith and denominational faith leaders—under the banner of the Faith Action Network (FAN)” would be vilified for crossing the invisible line of separation of church and state.

And there is more...with the predictable "$#%4!@ - off" reaction

 :yike:

‘Our rights are not for sale’ say fired-up gun owners

Promises of a big bucks political campaign to force Washington lawmakers to adopt a “universal background check” law, with threats of an initiative if they don’t, have fired up Evergreen State gun owners since Monday’s press conference by several Seattle religious activists.

Many of our Senators and Representatives appear to NOT understand what their job is.  Many of them have become nothing but puppets with their strings being pulled by an anti-gun legislative/dictator caucus in our state and nationally.  They also are dancing to the tune of people like anti-gun zealot/billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  Ask yourself, are your Senators and Representatives representing you?  For example, Governor Inslee wants to take up gun-control again in the May 13 Special Session.  Is our new Governor representing the people of Washington, or is he acting to fulfill his own anti-gun agenda and following along with the anti-gun puppeteers?

The Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility (WAGR) wants to shove a “universal background check” law down our throats with threats of an initiative and possible financing from billionaire anti-gun Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  Speaking of initiatives; perhaps some serious discussions should start regarding recall initiatives for some of our representatives that cannot seem to represent us.  A good start would be our new Governor, Jay Inslee.  Getting the required signatures would be very easy on the east side of the state; there are a lot of unhappy folks on the west side of the state as well.  The election was very close; Inslee (51.54% with 1,582, 802 votes) and McKenna (48.46% with 1,488,245).  Perhaps we need to send a chill up the spine of the anti-gun legislative caucus/dictatorship and start the process to unseat Governor Inslee.

This is NOT a joke.  Maybe Rob McKenna would be willing to run again if we could pull off a recall election.

What do others in this forum think about a Governor Inslee recall election?  Perhaps we should set up a poll.

Are the people in this state fed-up with the anti-gun, anti-hunting, liberal left extremists continuously doing everything they can to trample our rights and freedoms?

If enough people are "fed-up" and "fired-up", things can change.  We still have a problem with freedom loving people not voting and/or thinking their single voice doesn't make a difference.

Every voice added to the whole makes the united voice louder.
