Huntinphool, that is a beautiful photograph.
Thank you PD!

Don't shoot the first buck u see. Be picky and hold out and u will have a chance at a nice one. Congrats u will have fun.

What do you think PD, would that be a shooter if it was the first buck you had a shot at? :chuckle: How about you deerdog, still stand by your advice? :chuckle:

It is a very nice buck. But from the pic I don't know if the other side matches or if he is all broken up. I might be kicking myself at the end but that's just the chance you take when u are lookin for Mr. Big.
It would be a mistake to pass on that buck. ;)

Phool..................... i think these guys are a little off there rocker.

Guess I'm just a little Bias and have my heart set on a buck like this. Also it helps that I seen it in person a few times during the season.
Quality buck for sure, I just hope there are no rifles in there while you are archery hunting or you can forget about finding a buck like that. ;)

Already can he was shot by the Governor tag in 2011. all i can hope is he passed on this genes.
Exactly my point. ;)
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

My 2 buddies and I also pulled Entiat tags.  We drew tags about 7 years ago and had a great time.

Mossyoak arrow slinger...isn't this like 3 tags in the last three years (late buck, bull and cow elk, now quality buck??)  :dunno:? Seems to me you must have a connection in the inside at WDFW?? Good luck buddy, hope you get the next wallhanger for your collection  ;).

I posted this pic on another thread also.  Second deer I saw on opening day in 02 when it was still a general season tag.  No regrets from me on shooting the first good buck.

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I have had a little bit of luck the last few years! I know is making the old man a little jealous. Thanks for wishing me luck I'm going to need it on this one.  Looks like ill be turning my alta family camping trip into an entiat family scouting trip lol.

The luck to draw is awesome I just hope to have some luck to shoot a big mule for once then I will be satisfied. We are all due eventually so let it be a birthday present to me. You know me I won't be shooting 100 yds that just won't happen.

congrats on the tag. this hunt requires confidence at 50 yards and the ability to wait for the right deer. the last few day are always the best. i have been extremely lucky and drawn this tag a few times before always with a partner. always getting a deer. and have been there every day of the season 4 of the last 6 years, that's over forty days there during the season and like i said the last few days have been the best. good luck and we will see you there.  :)

I am confident out to 50 and I would say 70 is my max. I will only miss the first two days of the season and be there the rest of it. I am patient when it comes to taking the right shot just not sure how patient I am with seeing decent sized animals and waiting for a bigger one. I have never shot a real big mule deer so it will be hard for me to pass on a good buck. My two hunting partners and I grouped it so we will all be there. I have decent knowledge of mule deer hunting for I have been huntin them since I was about ten. Thanks for the info!
