Hopefully there will be a redraw for you RadSav after half the applicants don't purchase it.  Stupid for the state no not want a guys $140 if he's willing to fork it out while 1000's of others that they've "chosen" don't want to fork it out. I know they've redrawn before in the multi season deer, but I'm not crossing my fingers they're smart enough to do it anymore.

There's no way they could require that someone buy it. What if that person doesn't have the money?

Most states where I've applied for tags in the past require payment in full when you apply.  Then if you are not drawn they refund all but a few dollars for processing fee.

you say if someone doesn't buy it they should be banned.... what if they are military and get deployed or transfers early should they be banned?  Just trying to figure out your train of though  :bash:

There are exceptions to every rule.  That is out of your control and you being moved / deployed so it would not apply.  Another thing is you don't have to be banned forever....maybe three years??  I guess my point is this....If you are the person paying the $7 dollars just to screw the state out of $150 when you are drawn, then you should be punished with a fine, ban, mandatory purchase, etc. etc. etc.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally apply for the "point option?"

That was a copy from the WDFW results page = Hunt number "1888"!  Point Option is a different number I think. :dunno:

I'll give someone my elk permit if they take my mother-in-law too!

1888 is definitely not the "Point Option" hunt number.

I think all the unsold should be sold first come-first serve after a deadline.  The app should just give an option.

I finally for the first time was drawn for Multi-Elk!  So I'm not crying too much.  Even though I think I'd rather have the deer permit.  Elk is not high on my favorite animal to hunt list even though I've tagged a bunch.  I've got the late season upper WI whitetail hunt with Del.  That should be a good time with an opportunity to shoot a monster whitetail.

Biggest draw for me is that I hunt with the wife.  She usually comes first, but she also likes to take her time filling the tag. >:(  So multi-season deer usually allows me some time for myself to hunt nice bucks as well as just guiding her.  I've been watching a beast of a benchleg buck in some good bear territory.  I was sort of saving him for myself ;)  But, maybe I'll put the squaw on him this year and hunt bear at the same time :dunno:  Lots of options in this state...no worries!

The WDFW knows a certain percentage of people will not purchase the multi season tags, and they took that into account when they decided how many people to draw. So it wouldn't make sense for them to try to sell the ones that don't get purchased.

That is what I understood as well.

Quite unbelievable they increased permit sales by so much this year.  Guess all those email news releases are paying off.

Is that a fact, or are you just speaking out your arse again?

Hey Rad, check out your post #7 from last year on the "who didn't draw?" link.  I think the game department heard you.

It was funny reading through that old post and seeing so many of the same comments there as in this thread about if you draw and don't buy you should be banned the next year and if you don't even draw it should be guaranteed the next year.

The funniest comment in that link was that the WDFW does hate Rad, they just hate bears a little more.

First year I've put in for multi season deer and got it. I was wanting to try bow. always been a rifle Hunter so I was hesitant to swap over. Was curious does anyone know what the full price for the multi season deer, elk bear cougar combo is?
