Going in on a group Archery Tag for Peaches and Goose Prairie!!! with 16 pts! Probably still wont draw....

Wow! The average it took to draw for archery was 7 I believe.

Maybe so, but that average number they provide is misleading.

If you look at the data, you'll see that there were 60 applications that had 7 points for the Peaches Ridge archery permit. Of those 60, only 14 were selected.

60 with 7 points or more? Where can I find that data, that sounds interesting.

No, that's 60 applications that had 7 points.

The data is available on the WDFW website, on the special permit page.

But maybe they actually want to hunt this year.  :dunno:

Put in for other units, that have less permits, and odds of drawing may not be good at all, even with 16 points, especially since they are applying as a group.

16 points isn't even a guarantee for Peaches. Last year there were 7 applications that had 10 points, and only 1 of those drew.

You probably would be going...I figure I'm just applying for the Blues ;)  Should be a nice change of pace to see "Not Selected" for something other than Toutle :chuckle:

I know Peaches pretty well.  Spent a lot of time in there bugling bulls.  But, it's too late.  I've already submitted my losing bid for Tucannon and Wenaha East.

I paid no attention.  Can't remember if this year is 17 or 18.  I keep thinking I'm close to max, but I forget I moved back to Oregon for a few years to sell hooks and worms.

damn!!! I hope you put in for archery??? I put in for those same two units with 19 points, have been since I had 8 points.  I just know some lucky azz will draw with 3 or 4 points!! Good luck ( unless you put in for muzzy). :chuckle: by the way, it's never too late to draw, all you have to do is call wdfw and they can change it.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Definitely Archery!

No changing for me.  I want to hunt alone until one hits the ground.  Then I want professional help :chuckle:  That would be tough in Peaches.

I would think with no general season in 346 for archery you wouldn't have to many people around.

Last year, we never seen another hunter during archery..
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...
