Thoughts on Toxic Broadheads?

I have seen the Toxic Broad heads and have heard good and bad reviews on them. Have watched videos on them and how they shot.
Me personally they look really good and could leave a big hole, thinking about trying them out.
Just wondering what is your thoughts on these??

I met a guy last year that was shooting them and they seem to fly like a dart.  They whistled something fierce..... and for that reason, I would not shoot them.  They also tear up targets. 

It's a pass for me.   I will stick to my slick tricks that fly like darts, are silent and leave amazing wound channels.

They are only good for shooting through thin walled empty 55 gal drums.

I bought a pack of them on an impulse buy last year just to shoot them and see what they were all about. My normal broadhead is a Shuttle T Lock. The Shuttle T and my field points hit nearly the same place and those Toxics were low and right and much less consistent. They also destroy your targets. Another thing to consider is that if you do make a poor shot and wound an animal that wound is much more likely to get infected and be a problem for the animal because of the kind cut it makes. I ended up using them as grouse broadheads. I'm sure they'd do the trick if you hit the right spot but your money would be better spent on something not so gimmicky and reliable.

Don't forget their superior performance on milk jugs.  If I ever book a trophy #2 Jug hunt those are the heads I'm taking

That's a MUCH better broadhead, IMO!!

I bought some a couple years ago.  They flew like crap at 20 yards.  I could only imagine how they were at longer range.  They sit somewhere in a tool box.  I will finally get to use my Grim Reapers it looks like

A buddy decided to try them last year due to how cool they did on milk cartons or some other plastic thing. I warned him not to, but he did...Called me right after elk season, singing the blues, seems that he shot a cow at 18 yards with it and it only went in a few inches. He swears he hit it good and it just didn't work...Shooting Shuttle T's now....

Wouldn't waste my money. Given the chance that you make a bad shot and cannot recover the animal.... More than likely due to the size of the wound channel the animals going to die, out of reach.
Nice sharp blades will do more then enough to take down any animal, Bad shots though the animal still has a chance to recover due to the surgical style cut of a nice broadhead.

What's going to heal better after a bad shot, a cut with a scalpel, or a hole from a cookie cutter?
