1. Doe antelope
2. Doe whitetail on crops
3. Elk
Haven't had enough of the rest to judge, but antelope was #1 by a wide margin.

1. bear
2. antelope
3. elk
4. deer
5. moose
(although I do think elk, deer, and moose really could be tied and antelope is only slightly better than elk, deer, or moose). It's all good.
Never tried beaver.......well not the furry kind....um well ok maybe furry but.....uh nevermind.
Never tried cougar either.........oh wait, I did marry one........
It's been so long since I've eaten rabbit I can't really remember so I won't rate it here because I think my mom cooked it for me. I do remember it being really good and kind of tasting like chicken. It would probably rank below the 5 above, but I'll have to kill a couple out of my yard come september and do a taste test.
Alligator is really good and I almost ordered some at a restaurant on Saturday, but went with catfish instead. It's been about 20 years since I ate alligator though and I should really have some more soon.
Ostrich or Emu is really good. Tastes similar to antelope or deer. Very good and lean. I might rank it #1 on this list except I suppose it is not wild game and not 4 legged so shouldn't even mention it, but my mind went to it since I first had ostrich at the same time I had alligator about 20 years ago.

Mountain moose, alfalfa whitetail, elk, pronghorn, mule deer
(Based on the best I've ever had of each)

As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when. No habitat = no game.

Meaning the best deer steak is better?

Buffalo,Moose,Elk,Caribou, bear and mountain lion tied! A no- rut whitetail eating good groceries should be 4 or 5 but i usually always shoot them in november so its hard to remember what they taste like out of the rut! I used to hunt antelope a lot when I lived in montana and never could harldy stand it! Surprises me when so many people seem to love it. Admittedly we were not great at caring for the meat when I was younger. I thougt that was the problem but last antelope I took great care of, was able to skin immediately and get it in the barn cooling down right away and it still didnt taste good?
