My first 4 point muley
« on: October 19, 2015, 07:05:17 PM »
My wife and I leave the cabin well before daylight. Our plan was to go to an area where We have seen a few bucks earlier.
On the way we see a 3pt standing next to the road. I know I should be able to cut him off from a jeep trail the way he is going. Driving in with no lights was, lets say ,fun. I didn't want to spook it. We set up and wait for daylight and legal shooting
time. Half hour later no deer, damn.We wait about 10 min. and I think we have to move another 200yds in.
we get 100yds and my wife say's there he is. Well I am a disabled hunter, confined to my wheelchair or jeep, so I have to
jockey around to get him on my side. Getting into position, I turn the jeep off, get the rifle ready and up, but sure enough
he steps behind a tree. Damn. But, behind him is a doe. She steps off and there is a another buck standing there.
1,2,3,4 on one side. Boom BBD. Sometimes it just all comes together.

Awesome to see those with disabilities have such success! Congratulations! Last year my brother and I came across a disabled hunter in the Siouxon who shot a bull from the road, whereas we did not get one despite being able to hike for miles. Seems as though the odds are sometimes tipped in favor of those less fortunate.

Congratulations again!
