Wife just applied for a CPL for Father's day, after having me harangue her for years.  Thanks Islamists and gungrabbers!

Next up, range and instruction time, and we'll be in the same boat.

The FN never really did it for me.

I like the Smith 442 for summer and quick trips to store etc and love the CZ P-01 for everything else.

The Glock 19 is a great option as well but I don't dig 43 or 26 as I feel like I need to reposition my hand after every shot.

I'd love to have the ability to penetrate soft panel armor but there's no way I'd trade the cavitation from a hollow point for it.  :twocents:

Been thinking bout the glock 19 but I kinda want something with a safety on it too!

Check out the Smith & Wesson M&P. I've shot them quite a bit along with glocks. They're nice guns. Very similar to glocks but they can be had with or without a thumb safety.

Glock 26 and a 17 mag for reload. If concerned about concealment, XDS 9mm or Shield 9mm FTW. All carried in an MTAC as well. I haven't found an IWB comparable to the MTAC yet. Always carry an extra mag.

I love my Ruger .357 mag.,  SP 101, 4.2 inch barrel. I can shoot .357's .38's, and bird shot out of it.  Pretty awesome! .357 Hornady's at the ready for big game and self preservation.  Love this gun with a nice grip special for me. I found a holster for it and ordered two speed loaders and a holster for those! I can have two different loads at the ready while in the field hunting. I'm so glad I happened upon this sweet gun.

I have carried subcompacts all the way up to a CZ SP-01. Just about anything can be carried with a good holster and a good belt. I generally end up carrying something in a mid size close to a 4" barrel and I like as much capacity as possible. Things like the Glock 19, XD or XDM, S&W M&P etc... Your general polymer guns with good capacity and easy to obtain parts.

My favorite holster is the Comp tac Minotaur IWB. It's similar to the crossbreed tuck holsters, but I much prefer the comp tac holsters.

Always love my SW hammerless but really liking my new SIG 290. Sweet little shooter and pocket size at that.

I have two that I like of mine one is the Sig 239 in 9mm and the Taurus PT140 .40cal both are comfortable and the Taurus won't break the pocket book either.

Glock 19 is my favorite, 9mm is a hell of a round, shoot good ammo. Rapid repeated trauma to the target zone.....16 in the gun, 2 spare 17 round magazines...50 rounds... shoot your way to safety...or more arms and ammo  :chuckle:

Im not a glock guy just cause i cant seem to shoot them well.  So i carry a mandp shield 9 with an extra mag.. for most instances i feel its adequate.  Shoots well, accurate, and reliable!
