Missing my buddy
« on: June 22, 2016, 12:35:29 PM »
Lost my friend today.
 Moose was 15.5 yrs old.
Just as the people who owned him before, robbed him of his prime years in that dam crate, cancer took his twilight years.
He came to me as a gift, to enjoy and grow with. He made the last 7 yrs very enjoyable and I am grateful for every second,
I hugged and kissed his hairy face when he retrieved his first duck.
I hugged and kissed his face today as he took his last breath.
He hunted with no training, all instinct. That same instinct led him to be a gentle best friend to the grand children.
He rests under the big oak, next to wetland he chased ducks in. Was it coincidence a pair of mallards flew directly overhead? I don't know.
R.I.P Sir Moosealot. I will see you in heaven.
Goodbye my friend.
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!

RIP Sir Moosealot.  He sounds like he gave you and your family many years of great companionship.  I hear there is an endless supply of biscuits to crunch, and, cats to chase for days in pup heaven.

So sorry for the loss of your best pal and a member of your family.  No words can make it right or feel better.  He's now free to be a hunting machine once again.  RIP Moose
