Not as unexpected as you might think. And not the first time for CNW. Full statements: http://www.conservationnw.org/news/updates/joint-conservation-wolf-advisory-group-statementhttp://www.conservationnw.org/news/updates/lethal-removal-of-profanity-peak-wolves-unfortunate-but-part-of-state2019s-wolf-management-policyNote that CNW also supported the wolf cull in BC to protect caribou, to much outrage from some of the group's members. Right- CNW has really been pretty reasonable on wolf issues lately. They are a good buffer between the groups that want all wolves gone and the ones that freak out when control actions are proposed.

I find these threats from bunny huggers amusing. On one hand they shout that we are all gods creatures how could you hurt one... Then go straight for the Blood Lust of killing some one. I highly doubt they have the skills to wack some one, vandalism seems to be more thier passive agressive style, or the equiptment. Something tells me there ant too many alfa male types In Thier crew, but more likely have glass jaws.
The number is over 100. wdfw will NOT confirm a wolf kill no matter how damning the evidence.

Right- CNW has really been pretty reasonable on wolf issues lately. They are a good buffer between the groups that want all wolves gone and the ones that freak out when control actions are proposed. The wolf groups really have no choice or they lose all credibility. They signed onto this wolf advisory group and have made it even harder to remove depredating wolves, if they go back on the deal they made to remove wolves they would lose all credibility. Make no mistake, they still oppose killing any wolves or cougars, or any other predators, they are just playing good chess to stay in the game and try to keep the control they have.
There was a big protest yesterday at noon at the WDFW office in Olympia. Big crowd of wolf lovers, one of them even had a wolf, on a leash! They were protesting WDFW killing wolves.
