:yeah: especially when 90% of the business’s are considered “essential”. I have already been home for 2 weeks since my kids have been out of school and day care has been closed.

You guys looking for whatever loophole you can find to go fishing isn’t going to do anything to end the stay at home order. The whole reason for it in the first place is because people wouldn’t stay the hell home. It’s 2 weeks.

Hate to say it but that 2 weeks is getting extended no matter how well we all adhere to it. I am also a proponent of hit it hard and get it over with but I’d put a lot of money on this thing going a month or more

Yeah, they talk about "flattening the curve" and then they talk about getting through this as fast as we can.....problem is: flattening the curve draws out the process.  The most effective way to get it over with quick is to do nothing, let it spread fast and then be finished done with it.

We are told openly that it is expected that everyone will get it, it's just a matter of time.  Then we are being mandated to practice social distancing to delay the spread (not prevent it, delay it).

I hope the shelter in place gets lifted in 2 weeks but I agree with you, I think it will be extended a few times.

I’m 100% sure it will get extended if people keep finding ways around sticking to the intended actions put forth. We all need to come to the realization that this isn’t about us individually and get rid of the stupid ‘me me me!’ mentality we’re prone to these days.

President Trump said he hopes we will be back to normal by Easter. That's April 12th. Just short of three weeks from now. I hope that happens.

It’s either going to be an epic success or an epic fail! That’s for sure.

Looks like they found a working cure. Stick to what is recommended and we will be past this sooner than you think. Kicking and screaming isn’t going to do anything other than work others up. Bite the bullet, be a man about it, and I’ll see you all in two weeks when this is over.

He said that first thing in the morning but tonight he stated he hopes "parts" of the country will be back to normal by Easter. He specifically said places like the Midwest where it hasn't really hit. Don't expect WA to be on that list.  :twocents:

Inslee specifically states people can recreate and specifically states 'walking' and "going for bike rides" correct?! What in the heck do you think places like the Centennial Trail, Sammamish River Trail and Burk Gilman Trail are going to look like the next 14 days??!

Why keep those recreational options open but close access to launch areas where there would be arguably FAR fewer people and the people there would be much farther spaced out? That's my issue. I don't want to go walk or bike on a trail with potentially hundreds, if not thousands, of people whizzing by breathing heavily. It just doesn't make sense.

I am in 'walking' distance of two lakes but once I get there the access is now closed, why? I would rather go to a lake with fewer people around and CATCH food vs. a grocery store full of people and buy food and run a massively higher risk of potentially catching C19! Makes zero frigging sense to me.

Just be specific, be consistent, apply common sense, shut absolutely EVERYTHING down for two weeks and roll in the National Guard to help enforce it or what are we doing? Picking and choosing what recreational opportunities will be 'allowed' knowing full well biking, hiking and walking will congregate massive crowds is just pissing in the wind.  :twocents:

I'm still waiting for the Google website and the infected count to drop to 0 "very soon, much sooner than people expect."

Easter looks to be when a big chunk of the country starts to peak, I wouldn't hold your breath.

This should be called the yeahbut post. Yeahbut, yeahbut, yeahbut. I used to say that to my dad everytime he said no to something and he would just say, " there is no such word as yeahbut!"

I watched the speech and it came across as “walk outside from your home” “bicycle outside from your home” etc.

At no time did I get the impression he meant “drive to popular areas and hike, bicycle, etc”

The speech also said it’s a ban on social, religious and recreational gatherings. This seems pretty simple to me, stay home and get exercise from your house.

Like Jackelope said, a lot of these comments seem to be people desperately looking for any way around the order they can find, loopholes, grey areas, non specifics etc.

I’m with Josh, suck it up and let’s get passed it. :twocents:

Did any of you guys watch the speech?
Read the specifics?

Last week, government kept warning to stay home. Social distance etc or they’d have to take more actions. Well, stupid people didn’t listen. 99 cars at trailheads. People out everywhere.  So, since people couldn’t be grown, mature, responsible adults on their own,  the govt snapped it’s finger and shut us down further. People losing jobs and major financial hits for tons of people. Stay the hell home. This isn’t about you.

And to the guy who was complaining last night about why Franklin county was affected because they only had 2 cases, you now have 7. Hopefully you don’t have 15 tomorrow.

I don't think that's really the issue.

What is the intent of the ruling? I have to think it's to reduce interactions. Yet the state has picked and chosen for us which interactions will be deemed acceptable. Very little common sense is at work when you can still pack hundreds of people into a Costco (how many are "essential"?) and liquor and weed stores are open for business as usual, but a citizen can not legally access a lake in relative isolation.

The list of essential businesses Inslee sent out is 14 pages long. There is the "loophole".

 :yeah:

Maybe I'll hook the boat up today and take it to Starbucks..home brew just ain't cutting it this morning.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind isolating for a while, I generally do it anyway as I don't like stupid people and they are everywhere these days...but I feel like the b..tard step child. I'm told no all the time while the other kids are spoiled.
