Sd card reader/viewer
« on: December 21, 2020, 10:18:14 AM »
What are you guys using reliably as a viewer with a screen or adapter for your phone/tablet? What have you tried in the past and what works best for you? I'm running wild game innovation and browning cams and the wife's new laptop won't read the cards so looking at new options. No one better to ask then the fine folks of huntwa right?

Just this year I got a Boneview card reader. I love it. I can view and save photos to my iPhone. The only issue I had was with videos on my WGI camera. I could view the videos but it wouldn't save them. So I ended up taking a few screen shots while the video was playing. But other than that it works great.

I use the stealth cam viewer. Works good, it's durable and is fairly inexpensive.

I also use the stealth cam viewer  in my iPhone. Really annoying that I have to take my OtterBox case off though. Wish they made an adapter to extend the plug or something

From what I can find online the stealth cam viewer won't read cards from other brands of cameras?

I have an iPad with no chip reader but I use a chip adapter for it. I still want to see a bigger screen than a phone.
$5 is a lot of money if you ain't got it

I have a stealth cam viewer and it works with all my cameras.  With that said, I am not a huge fan of it.  The screen is very pixelated and it is slower than I would like.

I use a card reader for my phone and son's Ipad as my goto.  It is easy, fast and has way better picture quality.

I bought the wildgame innovation one for like $30 and it’s great but I’m one to not care about wall hanging pic quality it reads all my cards flawlessly and it’s fairly small

One thing with the phone reader's that I've found is they chew up battery and memory pretty fast which is why I went to a stand alone reader. They also weren't as reliable.

I picked up this one this year, works on both iPhone and Android.  Also works with my tablet for larger pics in the woods.

Make sure you format the cards as FAT32.
