2021 license costs
« on: February 01, 2021, 09:11:00 AM »
I just logged in and bought my hunting and fishing license for 2021 so I could get my spring bear application.  Went ahead and got all of my special permit applications.  $350.  :yike:  Still have to buy the wife and kids' licenses.  Daughters are 16 and 18 so no discount for them this year.  I am going to be into this $1,400 this year.  :bash:

It would be nice if they would roll 1/2 of the youth points into adult categories.  I only paid 1/2 price for the points but it sucks to have put in for 7 years of youth categories and now just have those points sitting there to rot.

I'm cutting back.  No combo fishing or second pole, no second deer tags, no buck deer, no antlerless deer, no discover pass.  Only $287.20  Fishing license for wife.  $6.00

Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.

Does it hurt any less if you consider it as $50 for licenses and $300 for gambling fun?  :chuckle:
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

So how does that work if they raise prices and I already have mine?

You already have yours doesnt affect you until you buy something else if prices change.

I'm in the same boat except my kids are still at reduced price.  I'm in it 700+ and haven't purchased my wife her tags yet.  It kind of makes me want to vomit every year when I purchase my tags....but then I remind myself how much time I spend in the woods each year.  I bet my cost (counting tags purchases alone) is less than 5 dollars a day of actual hunting and fishing.

Kind of sad that we have to justify, in our heads, how it is cheap entertainment if we average it out per day spent afield.  I really feel bad for the guys that spend 5-10 days for deer annually and pay the same amount.

I also understand most of my money goes to the "CHANCE" of drawing a 1% tag...... :bash: :bash:     Just buying your deer, elk, bear, cougar tag is not that painful if you forgo all the applications for special draws.
