Special permit applications
« on: March 30, 2022, 06:55:32 AM »
Any Idea when they come out or when there due? Can't even plan hunting other states when your home state hasn't even started the process yet! >:( I guess there too busy trying to make new laws to keep us out of the woods here!

The regs should be on line in 2 weeks, then permit process should be open.

Multi season apps close 3/31 and results will be out a couple weeks after that, before spec apps open up.

March 31 MS tag deadline.  May 26 special permit deadline.  July 15 raffle deadline.

Its been pretty much the same dates for quite a few years now.

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

I bought some with my licence.
But I haven't submitted any yet.
And there is a few that didn't pop into the buy it again.
So I have to go back on there and pick up a few more that I have points in.

I bought all my daughter's applications in early April, just before she turned 16. Bought just about every possible application for her. But for me I'm probably only going to do bull moose and quality deer this year. Don't hardly have points anymore in anything else. Hopefully 26 points can get me a moose tag this year, might be my last chance if things work out and we move to another state next year.

There are only 106 quality archery elk tags this year.  Down from 146 last year.  A decline of 27%.

I counted quickly and didn’t bother with modern and muzzleloader but it certainly isn’t helping draw odds!

Where did all the elk go?  Oh wait… predators.
Let’s just give them a hug.
