An organization to "end animal cruelty" in Oregon is currently 30,000 signatures away from landing on the ballot in that state with a signature deadline of July.
Here's their website: https://www.yesonip28.org/

Here's the thing: This bullcrap will never pass, but the fact that as of now this is even close to landing on the ballot should scare the ever living crap out of every hunter in the country.

Another "I made this choice so I will make yours too".

I suggest they pool their funds, go buy some land and feed their own with fruits, vegetables and grains and use no animal products.

Show us how you're thriving in 10-20 years.  Maybe we'll come around.   :dunno:

How many hunters on here vote democrat?  If the democrats weren't in control of Wa and Or maybe we could make hunting and fishing a constitutional right like other states have done? Someday, I hope people will come to their senses.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Another reason to stay vigilant in this state or any state you live in. I try to keep up on who’s funding this crap. And do my best not to give them my money . It is difficult sometimes.

For instance the Seahawks owner , that Allen gal, was donating to Washington Wild Life first.
Easy for me I don’t follow sports. So no money there from me. Dicks Sporting Goods in my area was donating to anti gunners so I never went in that store. They closed end of the year .
Tractor Supply is across the street from Coastal in Mount Vernon. But tractor supply is anti 2A and no gun sales in their store, so I only use Coastal. It’s small but it’s my part.

I think fisherman are the most detached, you don’t see that group getting riled up as much. But anyone who consumes animals, birds or fish should be concerned. These groups will never go away and pick us off little by little, spring bear, pheasant release, gun laws, flooding waterfowl areas, marine mammals , salmon hatchery closures. It’s all just nick ,nick, nick.

Coming to your state sooner than you think.

Ghosthunter, I agree-  some groups, like the Portland anti-hunting purists, put it all on the line with near-impossible ballot initiatives like the IP3 or IP28 efforts.  Of course, most in society won't swallow that big a bite.  The real danger is the steady and less perceptible encroachment- a bit here, a bit there.  Spring bear in WA was a key example of that.

Just so you know. John Stanton owns the Mariners and Jody Allen owns the Seahawks. Like you , I try to pay attention to who is writing checks to take away from what we have done our whole life. Ditto on Dick’s and Tractor Supply. Some of the worst in my opinion are the pro wolf people that prey on the heart strings of every little old lady with propaganda of shooting them into extinction while selling them socks and blankets. I am sure they pound the narrative of making them believe that their cash donations are so crucial!

The worst is all the idiots that are fleeing the craphole States THEY ruined are now going to the States that are ‘easy going’ just like Western Washington and Western Oregon were back in the 70’s and 80’s when they moved there and their voting destroyed those cities. And the cities have more voters than the rural area. So there you go.
More States will fall by ‘city folk’ unfortunately. I doubt any are safe from what I have seen in my life. It sucks.

  • How do you measure trying, you do, or you don’t.
Reference for Tractor Supply being anti 2nd amendment?

Wouldn’t say it won’t pass. For God’s sake Seattle just voted in a communist mayor. Never underestimate a Democrat voter’s lunacy.

My only reference was what I was told by a store employee when they opened the Mount Vernon store. I asked if they had a gun counter the employee said they were anti firearm sales. That was several years ago. I have only been in the store a couple times since.

The company has not came straight out against 2 A in their stated policies, but up till 2024 supported much of the liberal rhetoric as far as non traditional conservative base. After complaints from rural America , around 2024 they stopped supporting woke or DEI policies .

I am with you on that. I only have second hand info on them . Dick’s let it be known. Tractor Supply never did sell guns in the Kelso store!
