Im pretty sure i was drooling the whole time i got to try out a lamiglass, I casted to the same spot i had been casting for the last hour and was really amazed at the diffrence i was feeling on the bottom!!If you really think that an expensive rod is going to double your catch rate, nothing anybody says will ever change your mind.

I don't know about doubling your catch, but you can't put a hook into something you can't feel biting. That is exactly right.Yes you can. I do it all the time fishing for bass using plastics, you watch your line. As well as bobber fishing for steelhead. You can watch a bobber or the line with a broomstick or a stick. It's the FEELING that is so much better. Running a nice rod is amazing, especially in cover. When you can easily tell rocks from wood from weeds, from fish tail slapping a lure to fish grabbing a lure, it's worth it.

Won't buy a Fetha Styx (or P-Line or Tica for that matter) because of HawgQuest. Cant stand the constant pimping.
Forget the bear spray, use wasp killer. Concentrated delivery stream, 10X the product, and only $3.00 on sale.
Well maybe you got the wrong company....... I went to "Fetha Styx" show room there in Redmond about a month ago. Great guys inside, very helpful for sure.. I got a smoking deal on a $280 dollar custom oversized rod for $80 bucks on a previously ordered model..... Haven't used it yet, but have a matched Blue 6.4 Avet that is waiting for the first nibble of spring of OS.... Thinking about a re-visit and picking up a higher end salmon rod. I got alot of variations of rods, some are more lucky than others, some are Ugly Sticks and have never had to worry about being outfished too often.. I personally like Ugly sticks for boat rods for everyones use- especially as down rigger rods, as they get abused and handle the different users. On the flip side, I had numerous Lamiglass explode in AK on big kings. Only have two left and would never spend money on another.. I used to fish with guys and their high end Sage rods for Reds and Silvers, uuugh somehow remember my old faithful Ugly Stick light out caught them 5 to 1. Hmmmm... Maybe if I had a $360 rod at the time, I would have gotten a fish on every cast... Or they were really bad fishermen... Seriously, nothing like a sensitive rod for sure for feeling every movement, it is truly night and day. But you use what is the price range for you. I only have Ugly Sticks (Tiger Light-Heavy) for Sturgeon on my boat and they seem to work for some reason or another.... And of course just bought Tiger Jigging rods recently for Halibut and other bottom fish, nothing like watching someone bounce a $200 rod up and down on the alum rails of a boat.... Ouch!!!!
I got turned off by the name "Fetha Stix" from the get go!, sounds like some pimp named the rod[/b]
Just stick with Zebco and you'll be fine....
