Seems like a long time doesn't it? I'm counting down 52 days to my mountain goat/Canadian Moose hunt, so I know how you all feel. Can't wait to see your pictures!!

I do a lot of business with thick n' thin meats in priest river, about 10 minutes from Newport.  They have done me right a ton as well as my hunting partner and his family.  I know they do a lot of Moose as well. I stop by every weekend just to say hello.  Very good people.

Hey does anyone know if its cool to run quads on the roads in this unit? Are some roads green dotted?
Moose make VERY odd sounds.

Depends on the area you are in, Inland Empire land is gated and no vehicle access in most of it.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

If you are hunting USFS, you need a forest use map, it shows which parts of which roads quads are allowed on, there aren't many of them. Contact Colville National Forest.

Thanks. I plan on avoiding the gated to start with, but I di have a bicycle. Also will have a dual sport with for those "license required" areas. thanks for the NF suggestion.

I ran mine into Smokey Ridge and they let me hang it for real cheap in their cooler until I left. It's a nice clean place.
