Filson tin clothing is awesome in wet weather.

It's quiet and keeps me as dry or dryer than anything else I've ever used.I bought a bunch of that stuff and took every bit of it back. The only way that it could be quiet out in the woods is if you were standing dead still. Just taking it out of the packaging sounded like I was opening a bag of tater chips.

Side a house or 50 with no gutters then tell me how your rain gear works.
If I can get back to a warm camp at night I wear wool exclusively. As said before light rain wool is awesome. Heavy rain, stay in the camp or wear heavy rubber. Sorry I couldn't help. The high dollar branded stuff can repel water but it's not perfectly quite and will tear in the grabby stuff. Ripping a $600 jacket hurts way more than a $50 helly Hansen IMO.
