Anyone find any quiet raingear that holds up against western wet?

Filson tin clothing is awesome in wet weather.

Tried that, it tends to shrink when wet and gets stiff. Definitely tough.
I'm using kryptek koldo set this year and like it so far.  Reasonably quiet and waterproof, easy on /off, side and pit zips for venting

I bought WFS Element set for me and the kid to hunt in at Puyallup Outdoor show.  have used in hard rain and stayed dry. and they are quiet. two sets were under $120.

or I just used what was issued to me for a paid vacation to GTMO...

Should clarify that it really depends on how you're hunting. If I'm out camping or on a multi-day trip than you need something rubber covering you up. But if I'm day-hunting and can get some place to dry off, I do literally just wear wool and let it get wet. If you get the right stuff it doesn't soak up much, it's resistant to all but the very wettest weather (you might get a touch damp out there today), is COMFORTABLE even when wet... It's really great stuff. For a long time I didn't believe it, but I'm sold now.

KUIU, Sitka, Kryptek or First Lite rain gear  good for backpacking or day hunting.

Oh you want cheap...the fisherman's clothing should work good

swazi jacket is somewhat breathable, quiet, and you will be kept completely dry. It is not cheap but I have had mine for over ten years and its been worth it

For cheap, dry, and packable, I like the milsurp ponchos.  They are not too breathable, however.  They can double as an emergency shelter, however.

Cabelas Gore-Tex MT050 works well for me. It's quiet and keeps me as dry or dryer than anything else I've ever used.

I bought a bunch of that stuff and took every bit of it back.  The only way that it could be quiet out in the woods is if you were standing dead still.  Just taking it out of the packaging sounded like I was opening a bag of tater chips.   

Although during my hunt it didn't rain this year with my new set of PacLite MT050, I did wear them on a stormy day working in the yard/on my shop. -Just because I wanted to test them.  It was pissin rain up here. I was quite happy to be dry after 6hrs in downpour with no cover. Rain gear is NOT quiet! I'm a diehard wool person and will wear wool as often as possible when hunting. Most of my wool is 25+ years old. I wear it hunting then it gets stored until next season. But when it's really raining, I like goretex! Noise doesn't really matter at that point. Get good fitting clothing, -even a bit large so you can layer under it, but more importantly so there's adequate air flow between you and that outer material. That really helps. A fabric is only as breathable as you let it be.

i've really shifted towards wool lately.  i always end up wetter on the inside than on the outside with breathable rain gear(same goes for filson tin cloth).  plus it's super quiet.  it may not be waterproof but you never feel cold and soggy if it gets wet.

i can't stand being clammy outdoors, and i'm a person that really gets hot once i start moving, even in sub freezing temperatures.

If I can get back to a warm camp at night I wear wool exclusively.  As said before light rain wool is awesome. Heavy rain, stay in the camp or wear heavy rubber. Sorry I couldn't help. The high dollar branded stuff can repel water but it's not perfectly quite and will tear in the grabby stuff. Ripping a $600 jacket hurts way more than a $50 helly Hansen IMO.

Rivers West.   Not cheap, and you will sweat, but still has to be a lot better than that combination of layers you talked about

You'd have a hard time ripping KUIU's Yukon Rain Gear .  I don't care if you swim in blackberries, that stuff won't rip
