Help score my son's buck
« on: August 29, 2018, 10:18:07 AM »
My son is getting antsy to get his buck back from the taxidermist.  He shot him in Idaho almost 2 years ago.  We were talking about him last night and he asked me what I think he scored.  I only have pictures to go on as we don't have the antlers at home to measure.  I have an idea, but I'm not a score guy.  What do you guys think?

Hard to guess from one angle but I'm going 138-140
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

He was 14.  I was guessing 135"-140".  So I wasn't too far off.

This was a really fun hunt.  I rattled him in to about 30yrds.  My son dropped him where he stood.  Great memories with this one.

Looks like exactly the type of whitetail I'm hunting for.  I'm going to go with 140-145.

First thought was 140".  Great eye guards for sure.  Please throw a tape on it when you have it in hand and let us know the true score.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
