I spent money on a trijicon red dot, shouldn’t have bought the 3 moa, the dot at 200 yards takes up the entire target. My son in law bought the vortex muzzy scope, same thing with his cross hairs, guess we aren’t shooting longer than 100-150.

I went with the Traditions 1x muzzy scope and could not be happier with the results.

Thinking an elk may be an easier target then an actual target...I've looked through it at the store... Seemed ok...
I looked through a Traditions 1x at the store and put it back on the shelf. It just looked and felt to me that it was something that would come on a 100 dollar bb gun. I know a lot of people are using them and liking them. But it sure wasnt for me.

I have a Bighorn and recently purchased the Leupold red dot. Looks like a pain to mount with scope and mounts covering the top of the breech. Also, to my eyes at least the red dot has a glow around even at its smallest setting. I’ve read reviews regarding that. Dunno. Kind on the fence and just committed to using my gun as is with Williams peep this close to the season? elksnout
I’ll bump for Traditions scope! Bought one for my Optima V2, bore sighted the gun/scope and went shooting. Was on paper at 75 yards immediately and after 6 more shots this was my group at 100. 3 50 grain Triple 7 pellets with a 270 grain Federal BoreLOK coming out at about 2100fps. Primed with Winchester Shotshell primers. I had to clean after every 3rd shot it seemed like, I might try white hots in the off season for a cleaner burn. I can’t stomach the BH209 price yet This was my first time ever shooting a muzzleloader and man do I love it!
