Eggs.
« on: September 17, 2025, 09:42:33 PM »
Freezer burnt eggs. Worth saving or not. I had a whole package come undone and now they are freezer burnt. They are still firm and smell good just wondering if it’s worth re sealing. I have fresh eggs next to the older ones

That's a bummer.

Personally, I wouldn't risk fishing freezer burnt eggs.

Great crab bait.  Wouldn't use for salmon fishing.

Toss the freezer burned ones.  I would use the fresh or best ones you can.  Fish good eggs and increase chances of catching fish.
Cut em!

Trapping bait or coyote bait pile. Don't throw them as someone could use them.

I would throw them away. Store eggs in jars not plastic.

If I’m real low on eggs, I’ll use some to run through a hole a few casts before putting good eggs on. You might getting an eager biter or 3 before have to use the good stuff.

There's eggs that are past prime and there's baaaad eggs. If they're burnt through, dry and crunchy I don't think I'd waste time trying to fish them, and it looks like those might be gone.  :twocents:

If they were frozen fresh, not cured, and only freezer burned then why not? Dogs have eaten a lot worse and been fine.

Sure, if they're not cured. Big IF, imo.
Bait eggs are not generally frozen uncured. All of the eggs pictured appear to be cured with typical curing chemicals and dyes and are not something any dog should be eating.
